LENNY — 2023 BENETEAU FIRST 44 PERFORMANCE | Offshore Proven, Race Ready
Fully checked in August 2026, with new bottom paint, a rigging survey and an extensive inventory of performance and offshore add-ons, LENNY is ready for her next racing campaign. This dealer-owned First 44 Performance, hull #6, combines a proven offshore pedigree with the equipment needed for competitive class racing and ambitious ocean adventures.
Owned by California Beneteau dealer Naos Yachts and commissioned in May 2023, LENNY is a boat with a story. She earned second in class in the 2023 Transpac, then continued across the Pacific to Fiji, New Caledonia and Australia before competing in the demanding Sydney–Hobart Race.
Specified in Performance Race and Black Edition configuration, with a very deep-draft keel, LENNY features a Lorima carbon mast and carbon spinnaker pole, Dyform standing rigging, Lancelin Dyneema running rigging, and Harken hydraulic backstay and vang controls. Two headsail configurations provide flexibility between racing and cruising.
Her extensive North Sails inventory includes a 3Di Ocean 700 mainsail, J2, J3 and J4 headsails, symmetric and asymmetric spinnakers, Code 55, spinnaker staysail, storm jib and trysail. Spare 3Di cruising sails are also included, with ATN snuffers for all spinnakers.
A comprehensive B&G electronics package includes H5000 Hercules instruments and autopilot, Zeus chartplotters, mast displays, HALO20+ radar, AIS and dual wind sensors.
Offshore autonomy is supported by a Spectra Cape Horn Extreme watermaker, Watt & Sea 600W hydrogenerator, and a custom Victron lithium battery system with a 2,000W inverter/charger.
LENNY’s Category 1 offshore certification is complemented by two four-person Ocean Safety liferafts, Jonbuoy recovery equipment, an AIS-equipped EPIRB and personal locator beacons.
