This site is operated by Yachting Advisors on behalf of Jeff Stanley, President of Gilman Yachts. This page explains what it collects, where that goes, and who can see it. It is written to describe what the site actually does.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form. The enquiry forms ask for your name and email, and optionally your phone number, a message, and details relevant to the enquiry — the boat you are asking about, the vessel you want valued, or the builder you are considering.
Submitted alongside it:
- The page you submitted from, so the enquiry arrives with its context and nobody has to ask you which yacht you meant.
- Your IP address, used to rate-limit submissions. It is not used to profile you.
- A timestamp and a hidden field that together identify automated submissions. If you are a person, both are invisible to you.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, payment details or any government identifier.
Where it goes
Enquiries are sent to a customer relationship management system operated by Yachting Advisors and stored in a database hosted by Supabase. A notification email is sent so that the enquiry is read promptly. Where a client account is configured to do so, enquiry details may also be copied to HubSpot.
Access is limited to Jeff Stanley and the Yachting Advisors team who operate the site and the CRM on his behalf. We do not sell enquiry data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies of its own and does not currently run any analytics or advertising tracking. There is no advertising pixel on any page.
We expect to add Google Analytics after launch in order to understand which pages are useful. When that happens this page will be updated before the change goes live, not afterwards.
Third parties whose content appears here
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.
- Google Maps is embedded on the contact page only. It is third-party content and Google may set cookies when it loads. It is deliberately not loaded until you scroll to it, and no other page embeds it.
- Yacht listing data and photography are drawn from Gilman Yachts’ own search index and image CDN, so listing images are served from their servers rather than ours.
- Google Fonts are self-hosted rather than fetched from Google, so viewing this site does not tell Google that you did.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are commercially useful — in a business where clients return after a decade, that can be a long time. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email jeff@gilmanyachts.com and say which. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honor those requests regardless of where you are.
Children
This site is aimed at people buying and selling yachts and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. A privacy policy that has drifted from the software it describes is worse than none at all.
