1988 Marine Trader Montechristo 56

The Med 56 Montecristo is an enclosed aft deck motor yacht built by Angel Marine in Taiwan and imported by Marine Trader. It features a distinctive profile, a traditional all-teak interior, and a solid fiberglass modified-V hull with a long, shallow keel. Its chief claim to fame is an enclosed aft mid-deck that serves as an air-conditioned second salon! The three-stateroom, galley-down floorplan includes double berths fore and aft, single berths in a third stateroom behind the salon, an optional lower helm station, and heads with a split or shared shower configuration. Topside amenities include a large flybridge seating area, wide side decks, excellent storage, a swim platform, and a radar arch. While standard models came with 210hp Cummins diesels, this specific vessel, “1700 Somewhere”, is upgraded with larger 450hp Detroit Diesels.
